A meaningful role supporting someone to live life to the fullest. We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small team supporting an individual who lives at home with their family in Plymouth. This person has complex clinical needs, communication disorder and they rely on a consistent team who truly understand them.
What really matters, though, is supporting someone who is fun, active, and enjoys a structured routine. Their favourite activities include going out, supporting Birmingham City, enjoying Formula 1, and watching a lot of TV on their iPad. They stay in bed most times, and the family likes their privacy, staying away from carers.
To help them make the most of these outings, we are looking for people who know the local area and who hold a full UK driving licence.
As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences. Your day might include:
- Providing high-quality support on a 2:1 basis
- Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
- Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment
