We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and support an individual with complex care needs and learning disabilities who lives in their family home. This is a meaningful role where you will be enriching someone's life, promoting independence, and becoming part of a supportive care environment. This is a person-centred support role focused on providing high-quality care and creating positive, meaningful experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day support that promotes social interaction, meaningful engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Accompanying individuals on community outings and activities, offering encouragement and practical assistance.
  • Assisting with household tasks to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
  • Communicating clearly and confidently in the individual's preferred style, fostering a strong and trusting relationship.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

  • Proven experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Naturally compassionate and caring, with strong resilience.
  • In-depth understanding of Autism, Epilepsy, and complex Mental Health conditions.
  • Skilled in supporting individuals who may present behaviours perceived as challenging.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly, confidently, and respectfully.
  • Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing each individual's quality of life.
