About the Role
We are looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Children's Support Workers to join our team in Kidderminster, supporting a young girl in her family home. This is a rewarding role where you will provide consistent 1:1 support to a young girl with behavioural needs and Lennox Gastaut Syndrome. You will help her feel safe, supported, and able to thrive. During waking nights, you will create a calm environment while monitoring and responding to seizure activity. In the mornings, you will support a structured routine to help her feel settled, organised, and ready for school, using encouragement and positive guidance to set her up for the day ahead.
What You Will Be Doing
You will make a real difference by providing person-centred, one-to-one support, helping her live a fulfilling and enjoyable life. Your role as a children's support worker will include:
- Building a positive, trusting relationship through consistent support
- Managing behaviours using calm and therapeutic approaches
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and independence
- Providing reassurance and staying calm and attentive during the night
- Working closely with the family to ensure a supportive and respectful home environment
