We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small team supporting an individual who lives at home with their family in Exeter. This person has complex clinical needs, autism, epilepsy, a communication disorder and behaviours that may present as challenging, and they rely on a consistent team who truly understand them. They love music, social media, shopping trips, women's football and exploring new places.
To help them do more of what they enjoy, we need someone local who knows Exeter, can drive their car, and holds a full UK driving licence. She communicates with her family regularly, especially mum, so it's really important that we're all clear and consistent with messages so there is no confusion.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing high-quality support on a 2:1 basis
- Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
- Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment
