We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Night Healthcare Assistants to join a small team supporting an individual who lives at home with their family in Plymouth. This person has Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Complex Clinical Needs - tracheostomy and ventilation care, PEG and they rely on a consistent team who truly understand them.
This role is focused on providing support in his day-to-day life, helping him maintain a sense of independence while ensuring they can continue to care for their children and engage in family life. As part of this, the support extends outside the home engaging in fun family activities such as soft play, parks and visiting the cinema.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences:
- Providing high-quality support on a 2:1 basis
- Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
- Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment
