Location: Carlisle

Pay Rate: £12.98 - £13.52 per hour

Contract: 1 x 36-hour contract, shifts vary from 08:30am-16:00pm, 15:30pm-22:00pm and 21:00pm-09:00am

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Female Support Worker to join a close-knit team providing specialist 1:1 support in the Carlisle area. The individual you will be supporting has complex clinical needs, including ventilation and PEG feeding. However, beyond her medical requirements, she is a warm, vibrant person who enjoys cooking and baking and has a strong love for her pet dogs and birds. You will play a vital role in supporting her to live a fulfilled and independent life, enabling her to take part in activities she enjoys and supporting her wellbeing both at home and in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Support: Delivering high-quality, compassionate care tailored to her individual needs, including complex care such as gastrostomy management and non-invasive ventilation.
  • Meaningful Activities: Supporting her to enjoy her hobbies, including cooking, baking, and spending time with her pets, as well as accompanying her out in the community.
  • Household Support: Assisting with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment that promotes independence.
  • Building Relationships: Developing a trusting and positive relationship through clear, confident communication in her preferred way.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex clinical needs, including gastrostomy care and ventilation support, is essential.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.
  • Must be comfortable with lone working.
  • A strong commitment to delivering person-centred care.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; dedication, empathy, and the right attitude are what matter most.
