Support Worker
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour. Weekly or monthly pay available. Shift pattern: 15.5 hours bi‑weekly – day or night shift, with options such as 07:30 am–16:00 pm, 08:00 am–16:00 pm, 10:00 am–20:00 pm, 18:30 pm–08:00 am, 18:30 pm–10:00 am and 20:00 pm–08:00 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily life management and organisational skills.
- Accompany to activities such as gym sessions, cinema trips, and outdoor visits (including National Trust properties).
- Support attendance at social outings such as meals out, encouraging balanced lifestyle choices.
- Assist with budgeting skills and promote financial awareness to support living within agreed means.
- Support meal planning and cooking, encouraging healthy routines.
- Provide support around the home.
- Work sensitively around daily challenges and structured schedules.
- Role model positive behaviours and decision‑making.
- Provide mentoring support.
Qualifications
- Full UK driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism – required.
- Calm, patient and able to communicate clearly and evenly.
- Ability to explain information in a supportive and structured way.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
- Ability to encourage independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

The person enjoys the outdoors, walking, gym sessions, cinema and food/cooking, has a busy daily schedule and strong social interests, and maintains a close relationship with parents.
