Location: Currently living in Armthorpe, Doncaster but is moving to Crowle, Scunthorpe (Must be willing to drive to Armthorpe temporarily)
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour - Weekly or Monthly pay available
Shift pattern:
- 1 x 36 hours & 2 x 30 hours per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 7:30am - 10:00am & 14:30pm - 19:00pm
- Wednesday - 7:30am - 19:00pm
- Saturday - 9:00am - 17:00pm
- Sunday - 9:00am - 15:00pm
Driver requirements: You must have a Full UK Manual Drivers License and be over 21 to drive the person we support's Mobility Van.
About the support: We are looking for a warm, reliable and attentive Female Support Worker to join our team supporting a sociable, fun-loving 22-year-old woman with complex health needs. She lives at home with her parents, siblings and friendly pet dog, so you’ll be joining a lively, welcoming household. She loves sensory play, pamper sessions, girlie time, and getting out and about for activities. Although non-verbal, she communicates through facial expressions once you get to know her.
Who You’ll Be Supporting: She has a number of health needs, and you’ll receive full training to support her safely and confidently. These include:
- Severe Epileptic Encephalopathy (vagal nerve stimulator in situ but no longer functioning)
- Learning disability
- Hypotonic dystonic spasms
- Gastrostomy and fundoplication
- Scoliosis (spinal rod surgery)
- Registered blind – limited vision, responds to light
- Requires oral suction
- Full support with all aspects of daily living
What We're Looking For:
- Driver aged 21+ who can drive a manual mobility van
- You must not be restricted to the amount of hours you can work
- Compassionate, patient and person-centred
- Comfortable working 1:1
- Confident supporting someone with complex health needs (training provided)
- Able to read and respond to non-verbal communication
- Comfortable working in a busy family home
- Happy to get involved in sensory activities, pampering and community outings
- Reliable & Observant
- Comfortable and Confident communicating with emergency services
