Experienced in night shifts and paediatric complex care? We want to hear from you.
We are recruiting reliable, compassionate Night Support Workers to join a consistent care team supporting two young children with complex needs in their family home in Birmingham. You’ll be working on a 2:1 basis — one Support Worker per child — providing tailored overnight care in a calm and supportive environment.
This is a permanent care package with a set rota. We are looking for people who are committed to working nights and who can cover the full shift pattern without day-only or restricted availability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing overnight care for one child as part of a 2:1 team
- Completing regular observation and repositioning checks
- Administering medication and monitoring PEG site condition
- Responding to clinical or behavioural changes during the night
- Keeping clear and accurate documentation
You’ll be supporting children who live with a brain disorder, epilepsy, global developmental delay, and other complex clinical needs — but who also have a strong sense of humour and a range of personal interests. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring their comfort and safety overnight.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with complex clinical needs
- Confidence with epilepsy and PEG care
- Previous night shift experience in health or social care
- Commitment to the full night rota, including weekends
- Calm, professional approach and clear written communication skills
About Acuity Care Group
This role is part of our Bespoke Health & Social Care division. We provide specialist care in homes and communities across the UK, supporting people with brain injuries, complex physical needs and learning disabilities.
You’ll be supported by a Complex Care Manager and a wider nurse-led team who are committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting independence wherever possible.
