Female Support Worker
Pay rate: £13.13 per hour flat rate (Weekly or Monthly pay available)
Shift pattern: Waking nights - 22 hours per week - on the below rota pattern:
Week 1 - You will work Thursday & Sunday - 22:00pm – 9:15am.
Week 2 - You will work Thursday & Saturday - 22:00pm – 9:15am.
We are looking for a female support worker to join a small, dedicated team providing one-to-one overnight support for a friendly and independent woman living with a high-level spinal cord injury (C6/7 Tetraplegia). She is articulate and enjoys reading, gardening, visiting garden centres, and swimming. She values calm, capable support that allows her to maintain her independence, comfort, and dignity.
About the Role
You’ll provide respectful and attentive support throughout the night, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met. There are occasional 2:1 overlaps with another team member when needed.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including Stoma bag care.
- Supporting with repositioning, using appropriate equipment.
- Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring a peaceful night’s rest.
- Promoting dignity, choice, and a person-centred approach at all times.
About You
- You are patient, kind, and professional.
- You have awareness of supporting spinal injuries.
- You are confident working one-to-one during the night.
- You are reliable, discreet, and able to work with empathy and respect.
