Pay rate: Β£13.50 per hour
Shift Pattern:Monday β Friday 7am till 4pm term time and non term time hours flexible.
We\βre looking for a caring and proactive support worker to join a small care team in Walsall.
Youll be supporting a bright, kind-hearted young girl who is preparing to start her new secondary school journeyand shed love someone by her side who can help her thrive.
She is deaf and communicates using British Sign Language (BSL). Shes social, funny, and full of potential, and she enjoys spending time with people who are patient, understanding, and ready to learn how she best expresses herself. Shell be joining a specialist school where shell be learning alongside other deaf peers and growing in independence.
She also has a tracheostomy, so were looking for someone who is either already trained or open to being fully trained on this.
Were Looking For Someone Who
- Has knowledge of or open to learning British Sign Language
- Is calm, confident, and compassionate
- Has (or is willing to gain) tracheostomy care training
- Can build positive relationships with both the child and her family
- Is reliable and committed to consistent, person-centred care
Youll be supporting her by accompanying her to school, helping her communicate, and ensuring shes safe, happy, and engaged throughout her day. Most importantly, youll be someone who truly sees her for who she isand supports her in living a full and joyful life.
