Intensive Support Worker Specialist Mobilisation Team

Location: Birmingham (travel required)

Pay: Tier 1 £37,440 per annum + mileage; Tier 2 £41,184 per annum + mileage (enhanced clinical duties)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (full-time, rolling rota) with overnight stays when required

What We\’re Looking For

We are launching a brand-new Intensive Support Worker Mobilisation Team dedicated to setting up and stabilising complex care packages across Birmingham and beyond. This specialist team will play a vital role in growth, ensuring safe, high-quality care from day one while permanent local teams are being established. Between new mobilisations, you will also support existing complex care packages to provide consistency and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised, high-quality care to individuals with complex health needs.
  • Support safe hospital discharges and mobilisation of new care packages.
  • Provide clinical support in line with individual care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

Tier 1 – Core clinical skills (£37,440 per annum + mileage)

  • Bowel & bladder management; catheter care, bladder washouts, manual evacuation.
  • Non-invasive respiratory support (CPAP, Bi-Pap).
  • Basic physiotherapy (e.g., passive movements).
  • Enteral feeding, feeds and medication administration.
  • Learning Disability & Autism support, including behaviours of concern.

Tier 2 – Specialist Skills (£41,184 per annum + mileage)

  • In addition to Tier 1 skills: airway management (tracheostomy care and invasive ventilation).
  • Prescribed suctioning (nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal).
  • Supporting people with complex behaviours.
