Waking Night Female Support Worker
Pay rate: Monday – Friday Nights £14.50 per hour, Weekend Nights £15.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Waking Nights – Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 21:00 – 08:00; Monday and Wednesday 21:00 – 09:00.
We have a rewarding opportunity for a caring individual to support a young person living in their family home in Bracebridge Heath. This person has complex clinical needs, a communication disorder and body dystonia. They enjoy activities such as watching Ant and Dec and The Wiggles. The right person would be someone who is into all things girlie.
To support trips out and about, local applicants to Bracebridge Heath who can drive a car and hold a full UK Driving Licence are preferred.
Enriching activities are important in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to make a difference in this person’s life. You will also bring previous experience in the following:
- Previous care experience
- Previous complex care experience (beneficial)
We can offer full training for the right candidate to support this individual with clinical needs including: administering medication, personal care, PEG/JEJ feeding, oropharyngeal suctioning, mechanical ventilation and emotional support throughout the night.
What will your shift involve?
You will provide high-quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and attentive care tailored to the individual’s needs. You will meet medical, personal care, ventilation, suctioning and night-time assistance requirements. You may work alone or as part of a team to provide 24/7 care and support the parents with respite.
