Pay rate: £13.50 PH

Sleep rate: £10 PH

Shift Pattern: 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am

Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker looking for a new rewarding role? We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their own home in Totton. This person has learning disabilities, Autism, Mental Health challenges, and challenging behaviour, but this does not define them. They have a great sense of humour and enjoy hobbies such as makeup, styling hair, shopping, and visiting cafes. To make the most of trips out, we need people who are local to Totton, familiar with the area, and able to organise engaging activities.

Enriching activities will be important, and you will bring an empathetic approach to make a real difference. You should have previous experience in:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism
  • Challenging behaviours
  • Mental health

What will your shift involve? You will provide high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and tailored support. Responsibilities include engaging in meaningful activities, taking the individual out into the community, supporting household tasks, and maintaining a comfortable, organized living environment. Clear communication in their preferred manner is essential to build trust.

About Acuity Care Group: We have nearly 20 years of experience with over 900 staff. We are a supported living healthcare provider with three divisions: LD&A (Learning Disabilities & Autism), Bespoke, and Team Brain Injury. This role is within our LD&A division, supported by an experienced Team Leader. We support adults and children with complex physical and mental disabilities, focusing on person-centred care that promotes empowerment and access to new experiences.
