Community Team Leader (Maternity Cover)
Pay rate: £15.75
We’ve got a fun filled opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Ipswich. This person has Angelman syndrome and epilepsy but this does not define them. More interestingly they have a great sense of humour and a love of playing games most of which are on the floor. To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to Ipswich and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
- Learning Disabilities
- Epilepsy
- Angelman Syndrome
What will your shift involve?
In this role your time will be split between providing high-quality care, ensuring that the person you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs and also overseeing, inspiring and managing an enthusiastic team of support workers. Additionally, you will be undertaking administrative tasks such as creating staff rotas and maintaining care plans.

This role sits within our LD&A family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Team Leader. We work together in a wide variety of locations to support adults and children with complex care needs, and a range of both physical and mental disabilities. Our teams are passionate about working in close partnership with the people we support to provide outstanding, tailored care that promotes empowerment, and do everything possible to help our clients to access new experiences.
