Pay rate: Monday - Friday Day £15.08, Monday - Friday Night - £15.60, Weekend Day - £15.60, Weekend Night - £16.64. Sleep in £10 (Monthly Pay).
Shift Pattern: Day - 8:00am - 20:00pm can be a 24 hour shift going into a sleep in 20:00pm - 8:00am.
We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Harrogate. This person has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, Mild left ventricular systolic dysfunction, scoliosis, osteoporosis, adrenal insufficiency and they are PEG fed but this does not define them. To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to Harrogate and know the area.
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person's life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
- Care experience in the UK
- Tracheostomy
- PEG feeding
In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.

This role sits within our Team Brain Injury family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Complex Care Manager. We work together in a wide variety of locations to support adults and children with complex care needs, and a range of both physical and mental disabilities.
