Female Support Worker
Pay rate: Monday – Friday Day £15.08, Monday – Friday Night– £15.60, Weekend Day – £15.60, Weekend Night– £16.64. –Sleep in £10
Shift Pattern:Day8:00am – 20:00pm can be a 24 hour shift going into a sleep in 20:00pm – 8:00am.

Were offering a rewarding opportunity to support a young adult living with their family in Harrogate.This individual lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, mild left ventricular systolic dysfunction, scoliosis, osteoporosis, adrenal insufficiency, and is PEG fed, but these medical needs dont define who they are.This role is supporting someone who enjoys video games, travelling, spending time with family, and going to the cinema. We support this individual on a 1:1 basis.

Key Health Support Includes:

  • Tracheostomy care (subglottic port, cuff, suction, and changes)

  • Ventilation support

  • Oral/tracheal suction

  • Cough assist and nebulisers

  • PEG nutrition/hydration

  • Personal care

  • Moving and handling

Although verbal speech isnt used, communication happens through facial expressions, mouthing words, and assistive technology. Understanding is full, and clear, respectful communication is expected.

Essential:Excellent English (spoken/written) and Healthcare Experience.
