The Quotations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting sales growth by delivering accurate, timely, and competitive quotations. This role works closely with the sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders to align pricing strategies with business objectives while maximizing quote conversion rates and profitability. This role directly contributes to improving sales performance by increasing quote win rates, accelerating pipeline velocity, maintaining margin integrity, and enhancing the customer experience through speed, accuracy, and responsiveness.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on project requirements
- Analyze specifications, drawings, and bills of material
- Apply pricing strategies, margins, and discount structures
- Support sales team in active opportunities and project pursuits
- Track and improve quote-to-order conversion rates
- Identify stalled or aging quotes and recommend next steps
- Collaborate with product, supply chain, and customer service teams
- Maintain accurate electronic project files and folders
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in quoting, pricing, or sales support roles
- Experience in the lighting or Electrical industry is an asset
- Knowledge of the electrical supply market in the GTA is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pricing models)
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Knowledge using Bluebeam is an asset
