Commercially minded, hands-on Head of Finance required to lead the finance function and strengthen the reporting, control and financial visibility needed to support the next stage of this business’s growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established, family-led business with a strong reputation in workplace design, planting and related services.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of finance in a growing SME environment, delivering robust reporting, better commercial insight and tighter financial control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering accurate monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insight
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Improving financial reporting, KPIs and performance visibility
- Strengthening controls, processes and finance discipline
- Supporting leadership with analysis and decision support
- Taking full ownership of the day-to-day finance function
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in an SME or owner-managed business
- Strong in management accounts, forecasting, cash flow and control
- Hands-on, pragmatic and commercially aware
- Comfortable working closely with non-finance stakeholders
- Motivated by improving and building, not simply maintaining
- Experience in project-led, service-led or operational SME environments would be advantageous
