Fractional CFO in Glasgow

Acuity Associates is seeking experienced CFOs and senior finance leaders interested in fractional or interim opportunities with our diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries. Our clients operate in fast-moving and evolving environments where strategic financial leadership is critical to navigating growth, change, or key commercial milestones.

We partner with organisations undergoing scale, transformation, operational restructuring, or capital events, providing high-impact financial expertise to strengthen capability, improve governance, and support long-term value creation.

Depending on the engagement, you may be asked to undertake Acuity Associates’ Financial Infrastructure Review (FIRE) process, a proven diagnostic designed to assess and enhance a company’s financial infrastructure. This includes evaluating financial systems and processes, highlighting areas for improvement, and developing a prioritised action plan to elevate financial performance and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to support growth, transformation, or capital events.
• Conduct (or oversee) a Financial Infrastructure Review (FIRE) to identify and prioritise areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement clear roadmaps for financial enhancement and governance maturity.
• Advise on funding strategy, financial modelling, and readiness for major commercial milestones (e.g., investment, exit, or IPO).
• Partner closely with senior leadership to build financial capability and deliver sustainable value.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within dynamic, scaling, or change-driven organisations.
• Experience in fundraising, transformation programmes, or preparation for key capital events.
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with hands‑on operational capability.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and uplift finance teams.
