Fractional Compliance Officer

Acuity Associates is partnering with a boutique investment firm to appoint an experienced Fractional Compliance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior compliance professional to play a key role in shaping the regulatory and governance landscape of a growing private equity platform. As the Fractional Compliance Officer, you will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations as it continues to scale and onboard new investors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Compliance Framework Development: Designing and implementing effective compliance frameworks tailored to the firm’s activities and aligned with FCA regulatory standards.
• FCA & Appointed Representative (AR) Oversight: Advising on and managing Appointed Representative arrangements, ensuring robust oversight and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Filings & Investor Onboarding: Handling fund authorisations, compliance reporting, and investor due diligence processes.
• Platform Integration: Supporting the use of systems such as The Gateway to facilitate investor onboarding, regulatory filings, and ongoing monitoring.
• Strategic Compliance Advisory: Acting as a senior advisor to the leadership team on regulatory matters, compliance risks, and governance best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and commercially minded compliance professional with a strong background in private equity or asset management. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in compliance roles within private equity, investment funds, or asset management firms, ideally within high-growth or early-stage investment environments.
• Strong working knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly around Appointed Representative frameworks.
• Familiarity with The Gateway or similar compliance and investor onboarding platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work autonomously and provide strategic insight.
