Our client is a privately held, UK-based manufacturing business operating in a regulated, product-led environment. As the business matures, the finance function is evolving from a primarily transactional and reporting focus to one that plays a more embedded, commercial role in supporting decision-making across Sales and Operations.
The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s commercial and financial discipline as it scales. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role is positioned at the intersection of commercial insight, operational finance and execution. It is designed for an individual who combines analytical rigour with the confidence and credibility to work closely with non-financial stakeholders, particularly Sales and Operations.
Instead, it offers broad exposure across margin analysis, pricing, forecasting, revenue recognition and working capital, within a hands-on SME context.
- Provide detailed analysis of customer, product and contract-level profitability, supporting improved margin visibility and decision-making.
- Own and maintain a rolling 12-month revenue forecast, translating commercial activity into a credible financial outlook.
- Deliver clear, timely performance insight on revenue, contribution margin and cost trends.
- Maintain ownership of billing and accounts receivable processes, supporting strong credit discipline and cash management.
- Support revenue recognition and month-end processes in line with accounting standards and internal policy.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of finance processes, reporting and data quality as the business grows.
The successful candidate will be a part-qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA (or recently qualified) finance professional with experience in a manufacturing, engineering or product-led environment.
- Strong analytical skills and good commercial judgement.
- Experience producing customer, product and contract-level margin analysis and using it to support decision-making.
- A good understanding of pricing and contract mechanics, including cost recovery where relevant.
- Comfortable owning the billing and accounts receivable processes and supporting credit control and cash collection.
- A practical approach and willingness to improve processes, reporting and data quality in a growing business.
