What you’ll do:
- The Ingredients business unit is responsible for butter, powder and liquid products to make the best commercial decision of excess milk and cream on a ‘make or sell’ basis in light of prevailing commodity price conditions; you will provide support into the finance and operations teams responsible for this activity.
- Prepare routine weekly and monthly performance reports within the ingredients and milk supply finance team and provide additional support with month‑end transactional activity where required.
- Ensure appropriate four‑eye checks are carried out across milk supply and ingredients finance, for journals, price changes and reporting.
- Maintain or create documentation of routine reports and processes in MS&I.
- Management reporting as requested by Financial Controller, including: Ability to extract and analyse data from SAP for reporting purposes, to support Group or ad‑hoc requests.
- Weekly co‑ordination of Group reports and decision sheets for milk supply and ingredients, ensuring appropriate reviews and controls in place before issuing.
- Preparation of month‑end functional pack for milk supply and ingredients.
- Proactively seek to identify improvement in the month‑end process and monthly reporting with the aim to improve accuracy and/or efficiency.
- Maximise efficient use of financial systems already in place, to report EBIT at customer level (use of COPA and SAP FI).
- Support the Financial Controller Ingredients and Finance Analyst in delivering all financial reports accurately and on time.
- Business partner planning to ensure consistency of reports and information available for key forecasts.
- SAP and Excel super‑user – provide system support to analysts and management accountants within milk supply and ingredients.
- Cover for analyst and management accountant roles in MS&I as required.
What you will bring:
- Part‑qualified CIMA/ACCA or working towards qualification.
- Ideally have experience of manufacturing/costing.
- Experience of SAP.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Very accurate and strong attention to detail.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Tenacious and proactive.
- Good relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Analytical problem‑solver with attention to detail.
