Job Description
We are recruiting for Chill Operatives to join our Chill Department at Bridgwater Dairy within the Mller Milk & Ingredients business. The successful candidates will aim to process the most effective and safe methods to produce high-quality finished products, while continuously improving in line with Mller values.
Contract: Full-time 12-month fixed-term contract
Salary: Starting from £31,350.92 plus overtime premiums
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
Location: Bridgwater
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate complex equipment to ensure production plans are met
- Effectively operate equipment and processes, including asset care, maximizing output, reducing waste, and saving costs
- Replenish materials as required
- Perform chemical testing as per accreditation
- Complete operational documentation
- Maintain safety standards for yourself and team members
- Communicate issues proactively and maintain a positive attitude
Muller Responsibilities
- Maintain high hygiene standards
- Follow food safety and site quality procedures
- Ensure health and safety at all times, encouraging positive safety behaviors
- Complete mandatory training on health, safety, and food hygiene
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Complete chemical and environmental awareness training
This role requires working in a chilled environment; all PPE, including Hi-Vis coats, will be provided.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous manual packing experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
