Position: Multi‑Skilled Engineering Technician in the Blow Moulding Department – Bellshill, Scotland.
Employment type: Full‑time, Permanent contract (4 on 4 off: 2 days / 2 nights, 7‑7). This is a shift role with days/nights rotating (2 days 2 nights).
Company Overview: We are a family‑run dairy business, Mller UK & Ireland. We specialise in dairy products and are committed to sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high‑quality scheduled and unplanned/reactive maintenance across the blow moulding site.
- Actively identify root causes and bring the equipment back into service as quickly as possible.
- Seek and identify cost‑effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure knowledge of all electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
- Use basic automation skills for fault finding and remediation; strong electrical and mechanical diagnosis and replacement skills.
- Complete all maintenance tasks (PM, CBM, CI and corrective).
- Contribute to FMEA activities when required.
- Identify and implement improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
- HNC Electrical preferred; Mechanical with additional electrical qualification or competence.
- Automation – CI tools and techniques advantageous.
- Experience within maintenance and manufacturing industry.
- ONC/HNC.
- IOSH Foundation / NEBOSH – Desirable.
