Compliance Manager in City of London

Location: London (Hybrid – minimum 4 days in the office)

We're partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to recruit a Compliance Advisory Manager to join its growing second-line Compliance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional with strong financial promotions expertise to join a highly collaborative business where compliance is viewed as a strategic partner to commercial teams.

The Role

Reporting into the Compliance function, you'll provide independent regulatory advice and oversight across a broad range of business initiatives, ensuring regulatory and conduct risks are appropriately managed while enabling the business to achieve its commercial objectives. A significant focus of the role will be reviewing and approving financial promotions and client communications, working closely with Marketing, Product and Commercial teams to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused compliance support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide second-line compliance advice and constructive challenge across new products, strategic initiatives and business change.
• Review and approve financial promotions and customer communications in line with FCA requirements and applicable regulations.
• Advise stakeholders on marketing campaigns, digital content, social media activity and customer-facing communications.
• Partner with Marketing, Product and Commercial teams to provide practical compliance guidance throughout campaign development.
• Identify regulatory and conduct risks and recommend appropriate controls and mitigations.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of financial promotions governance, processes and controls.
• Maintain robust governance records, approvals and escalation processes.
• Deliver training and guidance to strengthen first-line understanding of financial promotions requirements and regulatory expectations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• 5–8 years' compliance experience within financial services - ideally Investment Platform or Investment Management.
• Proven experience reviewing and approving financial promotions.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty and financial promotions requirements.
• Experience partnering with Marketing and Product teams in a fast-paced environment.
• A good understanding of investment, trading or financial products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to balance commercial objectives with regulatory requirements and customer outcomes.
