Star Actuarial, on behalf of a leading provider of non-standard motor risks, is currently representing an exciting, exclusive and fully remote reserving role which offers the potential to move into wider areas of the business including Capital Modelling, Reinsurance and Planning.
Working within the reserving team to produce a formal quarterly reserve review, you will also provide monthly updates to track claims developments as they arise. You will assist with the development of the reserving process, suggesting and executing future developments while performing additional analysis on timely issues as they arise. In addition, you will suggest areas of uncertainty or risk which require a deep dive into the data to inform strategy and carry out such projects in a collaborative way, collating and communicating the results for management.
Requirements:
- Detailed experience of UK Motor Reserving and, ideally, capital management.
- Regular user of ResQ and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a non-actuarial audience.
- Experience in VBA and Access databases desirable, as is SQL expertise.
- Talented actuaries no longer studying for the exams will be considered.
Salary and Benefits:
£ depending on experience + excellent benefits package. Permanent.
