About the client: Our client is a leading international consulting group specializing in human-centered engineering and organizational design, supporting major industrial and aerospace players in complex transformation projects. As part of its continued expansion in the UK, the group is strengthening its consulting teams in Wales.

We are recruiting a Human and Organizational Factors (HOF) and Ergonomist Consultant to support aerospace factory projects in Wales. Integrated within a multidisciplinary team (engineers, quality, safety), the role focuses on embedding human and organizational factors into the design and assessment of technical and organizational systems.

Main responsibilities of the Consultant will be to:

  • Perform HOF diagnosis and analyze activities, workstations, and organizational processes.
  • Formalize ergonomics and user requirements and define functional specifications.
  • Analyze HOF risks and identify root causes for incidents, accidents, human errors, or quality issues.
  • Define action plans and follow up on their implementation.
  • Facilitate creativity workshops and conduct user tests on industrial systems (jig and tool).
  • Lead HOF activities, providing training and promoting the importance of human factors engineering within the project.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2–4 years of related experience. Proven exposure to industrial or factory environments is required.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, or a related field (e.g., cognitive neuroscience, industrial/organizational psychology).
  • Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. French language skills are considered a strong plus.
  • Competences: Strong consulting and presentation skills. Ability to explain and promote HOF and communicate effectively with diverse teams. Autonomous, proactive, and capable of making innovative proposals. Strong conviction in the added value of people in the control and performance of systems.
