Acton Medical Associates, PC, a busy primary care practice, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Internal Medicine department.
The NP will participate in a care team model, collaborating with primary care physicians to care for a panel of patients with a variety of primary care needs including routine physicals, chronic disease management, and urgent care.
This is a full-time position consisting of 8 clinical sessions (4 full days or 3 full days and 2 half days).
Occasional Saturday urgent care coverage will be required.
No night or weekend call.
We participate in a care team model that does not require NPs to carry a panel of patients.
The NPs work within a care team with approximately 2-3 PCPs to provide comprehensive preventive care, chronic disease management, transitional care out of the hospital setting, and urgent care for adult patients age 18-end of life.
Education and/or Experience
- Must be a graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in adult medicine OR 5+ years of experience as a RN.
Qualifications
- Certified as a nurse practitioner by the ANCC or AANP.
- Current RN and NP licensure in Massachusetts.
- Current BCLS.
- CPR certification annually.
- Other Qualifications
- Participation in relevant CEU programs.
- Maintenance of requirements for licensure.
