About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established heating solutions company based in Turriff. They are looking for an experienced Technical Surveyor / Heating Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This is a field-based role combining technical surveying, customer consultation, and sales across the North East of Scotland.
You will be responsible for carrying out accurate technical surveys, advising customers on suitable heating solutions, preparing quotations, and ensuring clear technical specifications are provided to the office team for ordering and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate technical surveys in domestic and light commercial properties
- Assess existing heating and plumbing systems and identify suitable solutions
- Provide expert advice on oil, gas, and renewable heating systems (including heat pumps)
- Consult with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Prepare and present quotations, converting surveys into confirmed sales
- Compile and submit clear technical specifications and materials lists to the office team
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover from sale to installation
- Represent the company professionally, maintaining excellent customer relationships
Requirements
Must Have:
- Proven experience in a technical surveyor, heating engineer, or heating sales role
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Oil & gas boilers
- Heating and plumbing systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience with renewable technologies, particularly heat pumps
- Previous sales experience in heating or building services
- Relevant certifications or training in heating systems
