Activus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager on behalf of our client, a prestigious private members' club based in Aberdeen.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Front of House leader to take full responsibility for the day-to-day front-of-house operation within an exclusive private members' environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering consistently exceptional service, managing and developing a high-performing team, overseeing operational standards, and ensuring members and their guests receive a first-class experience at all times.
This role is ideally suited to an ambitious, polished, and highly organised manager with exceptionally high standards, strong attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of client and member expectations. The ability to build strong professional relationships, anticipate members' needs and handle queries or concerns with discretion and professionalism is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the front-of-house department and daily operations.
- Lead, manage and develop front-of-house staff to achieve consistently exceptional service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, clients, guests and key stakeholders.
- Understand and anticipate member expectations, ensuring a high level of personal service and attention to detail.
- Act as a key point of contact for members, managing requests, queries and concerns professionally and discreetly.
- Recruit, onboard, train and support team members.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, holidays and absence management.
- Monitor departmental performance and implement service improvements where required.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of presentation, cleanliness, organisation and customer care throughout the front-of-house operation.
- Ensure the venue consistently reflects the standards and reputation expected of a private members' club.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Front of House Management or similar senior hospitality role.
- Experience working within a high-end, premium or private members' environment would be highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to set and maintain high standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high levels of service.
- A polished, professional and personable approach with the ability to communicate confidently with members, clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing employee performance and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for exceptional hospitality and delivering a personalised client experience.
- Confident in managing client and member expectations, including handling sensitive or escalated situations with tact and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working within a licensed venue would be advantageous.
- A valid Scottish Personal Licence and previous bar experience would be preferred.
