Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead and develop their estimating function from their Aberdeenshire base.
Role:
As Estimating Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving competitive tender strategies, managing the estimating team, and supporting senior leadership in securing new work. This role combines hands-on estimating expertise with strategic and people management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor the estimating team, supporting development and performance.
- Oversee the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission.
- Review tenders for bid suitability and contribute to bid strategies, win themes, and programmes.
- Allocate estimating resources to meet deadlines and business priorities.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries and review returns.
- Ensure accurate first-principles estimating aligned with market conditions.
- Oversee tender deliverables including risk registers, qualifications, and commercial summaries.
- Provide regular reporting on bid pipeline and performance.
- Support senior management with business development, frameworks, and design & build bids.
