We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our initiatives in medical‐device grade wearable technology, focusing on public health research, academic institutions and pharmaceutical clinical trials markets. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the digital health landscape, strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in managing complex relationships within these B2B markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development and supporting the global commercialisation of innovative products and services within the commercial team to reach targets in a customer‐facing environment. This full‐time post is based at our offices in Kimbolton, with some international travel required.
Candidate Attributes
- Educated to graduate level or above, ideally in Business, Health Sciences or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial management, business development or sales within the digital health, pharmaceuticals or public health sectors.
- Experience working in a B2B environment and prepared to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and progress new business opportunities across public health research, academic institutions, pharmaceutical clinical trials and related markets, helping to expand ActivInsights' customer base and market presence.
- Build, manage and strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors and strategic partners, ensuring a high level of service, responsiveness and long‐term client satisfaction.
- Use and help develop the company CRM system to support effective pipeline management, customer follow‐up, sales reporting and relationship development.
- Support the commercial team in responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, following up opportunities and contributing to sales strategies and pricing approaches that drive revenue growth.
- Coordinate and support attendance at international conferences, exhibitions and events, ensuring strong preparation, effective representation of the business and timely follow‐up of leads to maximise return on investment.
- Manage key customer accounts and work closely with internal teams, including project management, to ensure commercial projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality standards.
- Lead and support the public health commercial team in achieving sales targets, while also contributing to broader day‐to‐day management responsibilities within a growing business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs, using insight and analysis to inform commercial decision‐making and identify emerging opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on pipeline activity, business performance, market developments and progress against strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross‐functional teams such as product development, marketing and customer support to ensure commercial activity remains aligned with customer needs and supports successful product launches.
- Support the launch of new products and services, including coordination of marketing materials, website updates and activity with external agencies or partners.
- Develop strong knowledge of ActivInsights' products, services and target sectors over time, becoming a trusted internal and external point of contact on relevant market and commercial matters.

- Good level of CRM experience (preferably HubSpot).
