Are you a creative and analytically strong Senior .NET/C# Developer? At Active Ants (soon to become Paxon) in Roosendaal, you will work on Maya, our self-developed Warehouse Management System, and on the services that connect more than 300 webshops to our fulfilment environment. Every year, millions of orders are processed through our software. Your work will have a direct impact on innovation, automation, and the further professionalisation of our high-tech warehouse operations.

As a Senior Developer .NET/C# at Active Ants, you translate functional requirements into solid, reliable code. Your focus will be on operational warehouse processes, from hardware control to building intuitive clients used by colleagues on the shop floor. Because quality and continuity in our services come first, you’ll have plenty of room to build solutions that are effective, efficient and future-proof.
Your responsibilities:
- Building, testing and further developing Maya (WMS) and the integrations with our international fulfilment platform.
- Designing .NET/C# solutions that process large volumes of logistical data reliably.
- Contributing to discussions on architecture, performance, automation and innovation within our advanced warehouse environment.
- Strengthening the team with your expertise in process automation, cloud (Azure), DevOps, CI/CD and hardware control.
You can also optionally participate in a paid on-call/standby rota, designed to prevent incidents. At Active Ants, your code literally comes to life. We are continuously building new technology: following our migration to Azure, we are now moving towards microservices and event-based processing, creating an on-demand IT organisation powered by the latest automation. What we offer:
- Annual contract (32–40 hrs) with a view to permanent employment.
- Salary up to €5,500 per month.
- Fully remote working possible.
- Travel allowance (€0.21/km, up to 25 km).

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of medior and senior developers, technical business analysts, project managers, support engineers and system administrators. Together you work on various projects, with short lines of communication and plenty of direct contact. Open and informal atmosphere: collaboration and knowledge sharing are central. Daily stand-ups and regular team moments keep everyone aligned. Room for your own initiative: ideas for improvements, new features or techniques are actively picked up. A technical lead provides direction where needed, but the team thinks and decides together.
At Active Ants, you’re not just executing tasks — you’re actively shaping the product and the way we work. You are an experienced developer with an eye for quality and stability, who works both independently and as part of a team, and who wants to actively contribute to the further professionalisation of our WMS.
You have:
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- Experience with Azure Cloud and microservices (including Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Gateway, Database as a Service, Data Warehouse, Azure DevOps).
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise software development: ASP.NET / .NET Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, REST APIs, web applications, distributed systems.
- At least 5 years of experience with enterprise design patterns: MVC, SOLID, microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with security best practices.
- Good command of the English language.
Nice to have, but not required:
- Experience with Blazor.
- Knowledge of CQRS.
- Experience with AI applications.
- Knowledge of logistics processes.
