Logistics Data Analyst(Operational Excellence)

Employment: Full-time (40 hours – 32/36 hours negotiable)

Salary: Up to €5,000 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance)

At Active Ants, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact as a specialist on our logistics processes and the performance of our international warehouses. As a Logistics Data Analyst (within our Operational Excellence team), you contribute to optimizing processes across our warehouses. Your data analysis skills help identify opportunities for improvement. You also use them to establish KPIs and investigate operational issues. Guided by the principle “measuring is knowing,” you support not only operational departments but also commercial teams.

In addition to being an analyst, you act as the expert of our in-house developed WMS, where you identify bottlenecks and lead improvement projects. SQL holds no secrets for you, enabling you to combine all relevant information from underlying databases into meaningful analyses and dashboards. You will work with our locations across Europe: from the Netherlands and Belgium to Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. An international challenge!

• Data & Business Intelligence: You independently access and analyze data sources using SQL, identify the “question behind the question,” and use data analysis to highlight bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement: You lead Lean Six Sigma Green Belt projects aimed at optimizing processes and increasing efficiency across the organization.
• Operational Support: You manage the operational mailbox and act as the primary point of contact for data analysis requests and process improvement initiatives.
• WMS Specialist (Maya): You provide expert support for our WMS, resolve system-related issues, support the testing of IT adjustments, and guide implementation on the work floor with clear process documentation.

The Operational Excellence Team ensures that all Active Ants facilities operate efficiently and according to standardized processes. The team supports warehouse operations, the setup of new locations, training, audits, and continuous process improvements. Together with the local teams, you contribute to safeguarding and strengthening the Active Ants way of working.

Education & Certification: You hold a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Data Skills: Extensive experience with SQL (this is a must-have).

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a logistics or e-commerce environment, with a strong focus on Business Intelligence and WMS systems.

Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to translate complex data into operational recommendations and process optimizations. You approach problems analytically while remaining mindful of the people involved.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally and work across multiple logistics environments within Europe.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization, whether for problem analysis, advisory purposes, or training.
