Do you have an affinity with hazardous substances and a keen sense of safety and regulations? In this role, you will be the point of contact within the organisation for everything related to ADR, IATA and IMDG. You will ensure that the storage, handling and transport of these goods is carried out safely and in accordance with the applicable regulations. With your accuracy and sense of responsibility, you will contribute to a safe working environment and well‑organised processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with regulations concerning dangerous goods (ADR, IATA, IMDG, RID, etc.)
  • Supervising operations relating to classification, packaging, labelling and documentation
  • Training and informing colleagues and customers about regulations and risks
  • Setting up internal procedures, work instructions and control mechanisms
  • Acting as a contact person for inspection services, customers and auditors
  • Performing risk analyses and drawing up action plans in the event of incidents or deviations

Qualifications

  • Certified ADR Safety Advisor (or willing to obtain certification)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within logistics or transport
  • Thorough knowledge of international legislation (ADR/IATA/IMDG)
  • Accurate, stress-resistant and strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Dutch and English

About Active Ants

Active Ants is a fast‑growing e‑fulfilment company with its head office in Vianen. In our warehouses, we manage stock for various online shops, dispatch their orders and process returns. We have mechanised a large part of our order process using our Autostore storage and order picking system and fully automatic packing machines, and goods are transported through our warehouse via fully automatic roller conveyors or robots. This makes our e‑fulfilment services sustainable and reduces our footprint.
