All-round maintenance electrician

For our recently opened E-fulfilment center in Willebroek we are looking for enthusiastic colleagues who will help us make Active Ants as successful in Belgium as in the Netherlands. You will join an organisation that operates in the e-commerce logistics industry. Every day we process and ship thousands of packages for our customers all over the world.

Would you like to lead a team and make sure that every day thousands of consumers are happy with the packages they receive? Then you’ve come to the right place!

In addition, you will participate in brainstorming sessions on ways to improve, upgrade or replace machines and hardware. You will also be responsible for guiding and supervising work performed by external parties.

• Perform preventive maintenance on our AutoStore, Cartonwrap, machines, conveyor systems and other hardware based on established maintenance schedules;
• Solving malfunctions on these machines, including outside standard working hours;
• Ensuring order and tidiness in workshop and warehouse;
• Administrative processing of work orders, keeping maintenance schedules up-to-date and stock management of parts in Control Office;
• Reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Large numbers of online orders are processed daily at Active Ants. The collection of orders is largely automated through the ‘Autostore’ system. Most orders are processed and packed automatically. When this is not possible, you will be responsible for processing and packing the orders.
• MBO working and thinking level, direction Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;
• At least 2 years work experience as a maintenance engineer;
• Good electrical (control engineering), pneumatic and mechanical skills;
• Some affinity with ICT;
• Eager to learn new things about, for example, the Cartonwrap and the AutoStore.

Who are we?

Active Ants is a fast growing E-Fulfilment company headquartered in Nieuwegein. In our warehouses we manage the stock for several webshops, ship their orders and process returns. We have mechanized a large part of our order process by means of our Autostore storage and order picking system, fully automatic packing machines and the goods run through our warehouse via fully automatic roller belts or robots. This makes our e-fulfilment services sustainable and reduces our footprint. We currently have warehouses in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and England and look forward to conquering more countries in Europe with our E-Fulfilment concept.
