We are now recruiting for a Housing Complaints and Improvement Officer who will co‑ordinate and investigate housing‑related complaints. The role involves resolving disputes quickly and fairly, ensuring adherence to policy, the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code, and regulatory standards, and capturing learning from complaints to drive service improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of stage 1 and stage 2 complaints from customers.
- Ensuring ongoing actions and compensation awarded are followed up.
- Highlighting and reporting emerging themes from complaints for further investigation and analysis.
- Forming relevant working groups to ensure all input is considered and appropriate outcomes are delivered.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Demonstrable experience in a customer‑related or complaints‑handling service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
- Level 4 housing qualification, or commitment to obtain one.
- A flexible, caring, compassionate and highly organised approach, with a focus on putting residents at the heart of service delivery.
