Active Training Team's experiential and immersive training brings about behavioural change in people and organisations specialising in supporting businesses operating in high-risk sectors such as construction, utilities, transport, and energy. Our immersive training combines interactive experiences, live drama, film and facilitated discussion to deliver transformative learning experiences that help keep people safe. We create site-specific experiential environments, provide mobile ‘pop-up’ training experiences in site cabins or canteens and deliver training in offices, factory floors, conference centres and hotels. Whatever the location – the experience is authentic, tailored and very effective.
Opportunity
As we continue to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Team Assistant to join our team supporting our Business Development and Account Managers in maintaining strong client relationships and helping the company to achieve new client opportunities.
The Role
As the Commercial Team Assistant, you will be at the heart of our commercial operations, working closely with our BDM and Account Manager to ensure that both existing and prospective clients receive outstanding support and service. Your work will help drive our sales pipeline forward, ensuring we stay responsive, organised, and ahead of the game.
Location: Head office, London SE8
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
- Account Support
- Support our BDM and Account Manager in managing key client accounts, including scheduling meetings, attending meetings, minute taking, preparing follow-ups, and maintaining CRM records.
- Help manage client communications, including responding to queries directly with clients and supporting the commercial team with follow up on outreach activities.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing documents.
- Prepare with team the weekly and monthly commercial team meeting documents.
- Ensure our internal project and operations system is kept up to date with accurate and timely information relating to planned and on-going client projects and activity.
- Liaise daily with internal departments (e.g. operations, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients.
- Conduct research on prospective clients, industry sectors and industry trends to help identify new opportunities.
- Supporting the Commercial Director with revenue forecast tracking and pipeline management tracking.
- Supporting the commercial team with planning, preparing, monitoring and refining sequence outreach activity.
- Coordinate and support the planning of sales events, demos, and client visits at our training centres.
- Supporting marketing with preparing/refining marketing content, assets and updating existing marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a sales support, client service, or administrative role, ideally in a B2B, sales, or training environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and comfortable working with data, CRM systems, or other similar software and tools (e.g. HubSpot).
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- An interest in safety, training, or immersive learning is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
