We are looking for an experienced and innovative Programme Manager to join the Youth Sport Trust and play a key role in the delivery of the Enrichment Expansion Programme (EEP).
As part of the Government's National Youth Strategy, 400 schools have been selected by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Department of Education (DfE) to take part in this ambitious three-year programme, which aims to increase access to high-quality enrichment opportunities and help tackle the participation gap for disadvantaged and underrepresented young people.
As Programme Manager - Enrichment, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of the programme's approach to enrichment practice. You will use evidence, insight and learning from across the programme to develop high-quality resources, tools, training and guidance that help schools strengthen their enrichment offer and increase participation.
Working closely with schools, Enrichment System Builders, sector experts and national partners, you will identify and share effective and innovative practice, ensuring that the needs and experiences of schools and young people are reflected in the ongoing development of the programme.
You will lead the development and quality assurance of programme content, from toolkits, guidance and self-assessment tools through to training materials, case studies and online resources. You will also convene and support networks and communities of practice, creating opportunities to share learning and strengthen enrichment practice across the programme.
This is an influential role requiring someone who can bring together evidence, expertise and practical experience and translate these into approaches that work for schools. You will build strong relationships across the education, youth and enrichment sectors and provide professional leadership, advice and direction to colleagues and partners.
You will also line manage the Programme Officer – Enrichment, providing clear direction, support and development.
We are looking for someone with significant experience of developing and delivering education, enrichment, youth development, school improvement or related programmes, alongside experience of developing high-quality resources, learning materials, training or professional practice. You will have a strong understanding of the English education system and the role enrichment can play in young people's engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and personal development.
You will be able to analyse evidence, research and feedback and turn this into practical solutions and improvements. With excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, you will be comfortable working collaboratively with schools, partners, networks and senior stakeholders.
Most importantly, you will bring a creative, inclusive and collaborative approach and a commitment to ensuring that more young people – particularly those who currently face barriers to participation – can benefit from high-quality enrichment opportunities.
