About Education & Employability Coordinator
We are seeking a well-organised and purpose-driven Education and Employability Coordinator to coordinate our higher education and employability work under the Foundation's Education & Sport pillar. The postholder will coordinate the degree programmes we run in partnership with the University of South Wales (USW) and EFL in the Community, and deliver employability programmes that help young people and adults move into work, education and training, ensuring our community can GROW through learning and opportunity, BELONG through connection and inclusion, and THRIVE through improved wellbeing.
This role connects education with the rest of the Foundation. Alongside teaching and mentoring, the postholder will deliver in our community, performance and employability programmes, including holiday camps, football development centres, PL Kicks and employability sessions, supervising and role modelling for students on work-based learning. This gives every student a pathway through community, education and performance settings and builds our pipeline of future coaches and staff.
The role involves working with a broad age range of participants in classroom and practical settings across schools, colleges and community venues. The postholder will be required to work outdoors, travel across Kirklees and work some evenings, weekends and school holidays.
This role reflects our commitment to growth and impact. With a team of 21 staff and a turnover of £1.2m the Foundation is entering a new chapter. The Board has ambitious plans, and we need resilient, imaginative and values-led people to help us deliver on our mission to empower OUR TOWN to thrive.
