The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We have three job vacancies available, as follows: 1 x 37 hours per week, permanent; 1 x 37 hours per week temporary for 1 year from August 2026; and 1 x 20 hours per week, permanent. You must be available for interviews on Tuesday 14th July. No relief contracts will be considered from this recruitment.

Are you a true team player displaying a positive attitude? This is a multi-task role to ensure that excellent customer service is delivered at all times throughout the facility. The post holder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks in addition to the core role of providing safe and effective swimming pool supervision alongside setting up and maintaining equipment for activities and events.

Requirements of the postholder

  • Essential:
    • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
    • Previous experience working with members of the public.
    • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Desirable:
    • SVQ level 2 gym instructor qualification
    • Coaching qualification
    • Swimming teachers' qualification
    • Working in an ice environment
    • Working in reception environment
    • Cash handling
    • Operating MRM or another booking system
    • Previous experience in a lifeguard/leisure role

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Supervise poolside and village changing areas ensuring that each customer has a positive and safe experience of all services including swimming sessions, club sessions, swimming lessons and national events.
  • Prepare all internal and external areas of the Sports Village for use in the appropriate manner as per set up booking notes, in order that customers use the facility correctly and can take full advantage of all on offer at the Sports Village.
