We’re a friendly, Ofsted-registered wraparound care provider based in Crawley, looking for someone reliable and enthusiastic to join our after‑school club team. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team creating a fun and relaxed environment where children can play, socialise and unwind after the school day. This role involves working with primary school children aged 4–11, helping to run activities, supporting play, preparing snacks and ensuring the club runs smoothly each day. Shifts are flexible and may vary during the week, so this role would suit someone looking for a few afternoons a week rather than a full‑time role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting children during free play and activities
- Helping run games, crafts and other fun activities
- Preparing and serving snacks
- Helping set up and tidy away the club space
- Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Supporting the Club Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the club
What we offer:
- No weekend work – term time only
- Staff discount for your own children attending the club
- Uniform provided
- A friendly and supportive team environment
- Opportunity to take on additional responsibility for the right candidate (Club Lead role)
What we’re looking for:
- Someone friendly, positive and enthusiastic
- Reliable and punctual, as the club relies on staff being on time each day
- Comfortable working with primary school aged children
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Experience working with children or in a similar environment is beneficial
Experience could include roles such as Teaching Assistant, sports coach, playworker, childcare assistant, student studying childcare or education, or anyone who enjoys working with children. An Enhanced DBS check will be required (or willingness to obtain one). We follow safer recruitment practices, including reference checks and background screening, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and children.
Job Type: Part‑time
Part‑time hours: 6 – 25 per week
