About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable gymnastics coaches to deliver fun, structured after-school gymnastics clubs in primary schools. This role suits both Assistant Coaches and Lead Coaches. You will be working with small groups of children in a school setting, delivering planned sessions that focus on movement, confidence, coordination, and enjoyment, while maintaining high standards of safety and safeguarding. Sessions run after school during term time, with opportunities for regular weekly work and progression for the right people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate gymnastics sessions in line with provided lesson plans
  • Support or lead sessions depending on experience and training
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment where all children feel supported
  • Set up and pack away equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain clear behaviour expectations and class control
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
  • Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and the wider team
  • Represent the organisation positively in schools and the local community

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, confident attitude and enjoyment of working with children
  • Gymnastics coaching experience or a strong sporting background
  • Ability to follow structure while bringing energy and personality to sessions
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism
  • Reliability and commitment during term time
  • Willingness to complete safeguarding, DBS, and relevant training if not already held

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous gymnastics or sports coaching experience
  • Safeguarding and First Aid training
  • Experience working in a school or club environment
  • Interest in progressing into a Lead Coach role
