Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Havering, Essex. This is a full-time, long-term position with an excellent opportunity to become a permanent member of the school’s supportive team.
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 11–16 who have mild to moderate learning difficulties, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in their educational journey. You will be an integral part of the school community in Havering, Essex, contributing to a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional learning needs.
- Assisting teachers in adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning styles.
- Encouraging students’ confidence, independence, and participation in classroom activities.
- Supporting emotional and social development, modelling positive behaviour and communication.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
