Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor, SEMH Teaching Assistant, or Youth Worker looking for a rewarding role within a supportive North London secondary school? We are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, autism, ADHD and emotional regulation difficulties within mainstream and alternative provision settings across North London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and making a genuine difference both academically and emotionally.

The Role

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Managing challenging behaviour positively and proactively
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, autism and behavioural needs
  • Working closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs and teaching staff
  • Helping students remain engaged in lessons and school life

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, SEMH Support Worker, or similar
  • Experience working within schools, PRUs, youth work or care settings
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, patient and approachable manner
  • Team Teach training desirable but not essential
