Active Recruitment are looking for an SEMH LSA to work on a 1:1 basis from September 2024.
Our client is a mainstream secondary school based in Havering. The role will be to work with a Year 7 pupil with Social, Emotional and Behaviour issues on a full-time, Monday to Friday basis.
Candidate Profile:
Experience of working with children with SEMH, Autism, ASD is preferable along with the patience, passion and empathy to make a difference to children’s school experience.
A background in supporting students in a school environment is needed along with any relevant training in SEN, Autism, Child Psychology is welcome.
School Information:
Our client is an 11-19, mainstream secondary school based in Havering. They have been graded as a “good school” by Ofsted in their latest report. They form part of a wider trust of schools and has a specialist provision for children with SEN.
The school are happy to provide additional support and training for career progression for the right candidate. They have a successful track record of training LSA’s and support staff through their affiliation with a specialist teacher training university.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS Check or already have one in place on the update service.
