Location: Havering

Full Time, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. Weekend overtime optional. Shift work available. Temp-to-Perm after initial short trial period.

Salary: Temp-to-Perm (£26000 – £28000 per annum)

Active Recruitment are looking for caretakers to join primary and secondary schools across East London. The schools would like to employ a Caretaker on an initial trial basis with the view to becoming permanent within the first month following a successful trial.

The ideal candidate will have previous relevant maintenance or caretaker experience and be able to work a standard shift pattern but remain flexible where on occasion, shifts may change at short notice to meet business needs.

The hours of work will be split as follows:

  • 8am – 4p.m or 10am – 6p.m – changeable on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.

52 weeks per year. Monday to Friday but weekend overtime is also optional although not essential.

The position will include:

  • Site Management
  • Cleaning
  • Security
  • Lettings

The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance or handyman experience and knowledge of Safeguarding and Health & Safety Procedures is required. An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this position. Active Recruitment are able to assist with this.
