Active Recruitment are currently recruiting for a SEND Deputy Head of Year with a focus on Inclusion. This will be a non‑teaching, pastoral based vacancy within a secondary school in East London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with parents, students, Heads of Year, Form Tutors, and specialist SEN staff. The position is on a permanent basis, 36 hours per week, term time only. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work with the most vulnerable students across a specific year group and ensure that all students achieve their full potential. You may be working with families, parents, carers, children as well as working with the wider family and community.
Our client is a large, successful secondary school in East London and has a specialist ASD Provision on site. A Degree is preferable along with experience in school exclusion, special needs or pastoral work. You will benefit from many incentives as well as regular CPD towards your career progression.
