Support Worker β Active Prospects
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Salary: Β£13.60 per hour
Service Type: Adult Complex Care Service
Speciality: Mental Health, Autism, Learning Disability
Our service provides support to four individuals who require emotional support, learning new coping mechanisms, and expressing their true selves. All supported people receive several hours of 1:1 support during the day and some shared support day and night.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with people with enduring mental health conditions, a keen interest in psychology behind complex behaviours, and a willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support.
As a Support Worker you will need to be adaptable, flexible, mature, and able to support our people to regain independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk-taking, and out of the box thinking. Some supported individuals may self-harm, have anxiety, or occasionally display behaviours of concern.
The service is within walking distance of the bus stop/train station. We are also looking for drivers.
